Shadows

Shadows

A Poem by breyabee
"

Shadows.

"
The shadows whisper
about something
and you wonder what

But every time you
try to ask the shadows
disappear

Night is when they
talk gossip and
dream

Day is when they
disappear from your
sight

Shadows hum tunes
about horrors and
wicked smiles

But yet again when
you travel to their
hidings they are gone

Shadows laugh and
whine about how
you are clueless

To their language
you do not know much
but just enough

Just enough to
know that they
whisper and giggle

Cold hands fake
grabbing at your
ankles to wake you

Nightmares are just
the pranks of the
shadows to scare you

They are gone once
again when you
wake

When you sleep they
come back out to
play

Sometimes I wonder whether those shadows are friend or foe, I honestly cannot say for sure. But I like to think of them as some strange friends, who are just bored and want to play a game ;)
I really like this poem. It's cool and it's well written. Well done and keep on writing.
