Dancing Between Headstones

Dancing Between Headstones

A Poem by John B. Bolling

Lovers and sinners
Breathy ghosts in the winter
Long limbs shiver in the graveyard wind.
Left beneath a stone
That acid rain beaten and worn
The remaining mourn faded monuments.
The shadows dance
Along the cemetery entrance
Arms tightly secured in a delicate spin.
Alone in the dark
Producing an invisible spark
Unsure if heaven or hell was where they were sent.
