Wanderlust

Wanderlust

A Poem by Brett Michael Wagner

Without a plan I set out
The Road beckoning-
I obeying
Finally satisfying
This eternal Wanderlust

Silent sentinel stars watch over me
As I trudge off into the night.

Where will I go?...
Who will I meet?
What will I eat?

My soul is giddy with delight.
No drug can replace the high of adventure....
