Looking back

Looking back

A Poem by Eccentric
"

...

"

Bubble-wrapped lives
Staring unseeing,
She sits there, head against the wall
Clutching her legs to her chest
She watches everything pass her by,
She had torn it all away
Traded security for the truth
Does she regret it?
Does she?
They trace carved paths
Pointless routines and circuits
And she wishes suddenly
that she could go back... back...
back to where she was happy.
But she can't.
I'm sorry.
