those stones

those stones

A Poem by Latifa

The waves have made a pact with the  stones,

You stand still.

While I’ll caress you with my  foamy ripples of love and care.

Just stand still and grab your fist to the ground.

The moon peeked  at the pact scene

From up, he declared :

You stand still and

I’ll cover you with that foamy blanket of love and care.

The waves winked at the moon :

“Thanks for the help uncle !”

We all love those stones,

We all love those shores.

The shores of   the land.

Our beloved land

Stones remind me of characters that outlived gruesome times

The shores of the land

Really quite an exquisite work of art

stasis and motion, the ebb and flow of tides and emotion - liked the wink to the moon. Well penned.

It is a very original and beautiful pact between the wave and the stone. You have a nice imagination.
