pray for me my fellow writers, this is a crucial time of my life.
fractured, fragile, flying ain't no more flying the feathers are soaked in water ain't no more flying
blunt, brute ,blades of ego cuts the wings and soak the feather in water blunt, brute, blades of the old man's ego gash the young bird's wings with ego ain't no more flying
hell, ain't no freedom! hell, ain't no living! slavery has worn the cloak of ego to hang the bird's freedom
I here the injustice and pain. Too much ego is a terrible thing and by definition always unjustified. Besides, if they are as good as the ego tells them they are than why are they being so overbearing? My father always told me that the mediocre man rises by stepping on the heads of others, and that the great man rises and pulls others up with him. Ego comes from the mediocre. The truly great have no time for such nonsense.
So lift you winds and fly.
Greatly enjoyed the poem. High marks.
