scarred planet

scarred planet

A Poem by Latifa
"

our dear loving planet is in a great danger because of our own deeds.

"

The sky is sewing clouds of cataclysm

while trees smokes weeds of malice,

no flowers fragrant to perfume the air we smell

we breath smokes with dusty lungs,

we breath smokes of the metal creatures.

Green, oh green

my loving, endearing green

so pale you've became

the yellow disease is e'er chronic!

I wake to cough,

we wake to itch,

eek of what we become

walking with canes of hypocrite ace

flecked with pigments of shame,

we're mottled with blots of greed

we've ruined the greenish planet

now we're coughing our own atrocious deeds.

I sigh, the sadness and vivid images your metaphors evoke are powerful. What you write also is honest, and can feel the emotion building and it is also so true. I loved it. thank you.

Greed and lack of empathy have always been and shall continue to be our downfall, not all humanity though, but enough to cause an ache in Mother Earth's heart, powerful piece x

Money is just a concept of how to measure value. Now man has taken this concept and made it more valuable than earth and life itself. Once the day of is apon us, no one can ever say, Latifa didnt not try to tell us.

thank you dear Alfred so very much for you reviews, they always boost me to write more :)...
What we called as development is actually our own destruction because we actually did not develop but only feed the greed and destroying everything which gave life to us. An eye opener for all those who do not care. Loved the words how they mold to create a picture of a paradise getting lost

a cutting indictment of man's greed which has led us to purge the earth of its purity, this could indeed be the end, a remarkable poem Latifa, thank you :)

If the earth is in trouble, then we are all in trouble. Man should be a Steward on this earth and find better solutions for our needs. An excellent poem.

It's indeed a shame we have let it come so far. We have to think at our children and their children. They will have the heritage of what we have done with our planet. You have described this problem very well in you poem. Liked it very much.
