scarred planet

scarred planet

A Poem by Latifa
"

our dear loving planet is in a great danger because of our own deeds.

"

The sky is sewing clouds of cataclysm

while trees smokes weeds of malice,

no flowers fragrant to perfume the air we smell

we breath smokes with dusty lungs,

we breath smokes of the metal creatures.

Green, oh green

my loving, endearing green

so pale you've became

the yellow disease is e'er chronic!

I wake to cough,

we wake to itch,

eek of what we become

walking with canes of hypocrite ace

flecked with pigments of shame,

we're mottled with blots of greed

we've ruined the greenish planet

now we're coughing our own atrocious deeds.

Wow ! to sum up a poem in that single line. I love reading your work, it has an unconventional blend of words.

Again, another powerful piece. Yes, Mankind is his own worse enemy. We have the potential to be angels, yet we so often act as demons. We destroy rather than create. Perhaps we destroy because that is easy and creation is very hard. Let's not take the easy way out and follow our base natures.

All the best,

Rick
