THE MENDING FLOWERS

THE MENDING FLOWERS

A Poem by Latifa
"

rough times are very hard to swallow.

"

The owl howls high above,
swirling sorrows straps the soul:
fly no more like a dove
the blessed beats of heart beat to lull.

fingers fumble through the fog of salvation,
muted mouths learn to mimic
pleading prayers of supplication,
while the daunting demons allude to dreaded gimmicks.

cry crystal tears
cry cold calls of fears
time teases the restlessness,
steering seconds into sluggish carelessness.

gallop the grinds to gasp the ease
sail your sadness over seas
wallop,wallop the jeering hours
plow the plants of the mending  flowers.

Lovely use of alliteration. Lovely word play gives your poem music. A wonderful poem.

good poem but i feel the need to rhyme forced some unrhyming ideas clash with the beauty of the poem

Nice couplet changeover Latifa, again this suffers from a slight lack of cadence but I see you growing stronger and stronger. The message is bold, clear and cogent which is refreshing. Watching you get better every time is simply amazing :)

This was written with such wisdom and depth. So many layers and so many interpretations to this poem.
A very strong write, Latifa. Well done.
