Masked casket

Masked casket

A Poem by Latifa

painted faces
reflect the pigmentation of shame
and the strings of anger are pulling
the logic to fall

desiccated rivers of desire
found no will to revive
I sense an
unquenchable thirst for
love , peace
and everlasting ataraxis

 in the midst of reflection
I uncover the pseudo bubble of protection
to find myself snared
in a casket of
void and ticking clocks
of delirium

yet my bleeding soul
wears the hopeful smiles
to recover
to dream once again
I depart from reality
to embark on the fairy land
of hope

Nice and dark with a glimpse of hope at the end, just the way I like it! Your choice of vocabulary is flooring, it gives your writing a unique flavor that is a pleasure to savor. You set up the scene very well in your first stanza and end with calm, clear finality in that last. This was an absolutely wonderful piece, thank you for sharing it.
