ladies and gentlemen: the latest statement from a war child

ladies and gentlemen: the latest statement from a war child

A Poem by Latifa
"

pray for the innocent children that are suffering

"

who are you to forbid me from life?
who are you to murder my liberty ?
I blink without permission
I breathe without permission
and so
I'll walk without permission
I'll shout without permission
I'll run
I'll smile
I'll clutch my claws
into life and grab it
with a tight fist

A great prayer...hope it is fulfilled. Just few mins back saw a picture of a father carrying dead body of his child in Gaza .

I like the "without permission" escalation.
"murder my liberty" is clever.

You might be missing a space between "I'll run," and "I'll smile"

I don't understand the use of the word "claws" - This makes me think of animals/vicious, which (in my opinion) isn't in line with your message.

Very well done. I'm glad I read it.

Powerful and true poetry. I have told people often. War is near even when the war is far away. I wish I knew how to stop the greed for land. You must remembered. USA took land also from a great people, the Native Americans. We live in a world where the strong does what they want. Would take a world boycott to stop the government of Israel. I pray for peace daily.

this is a potent write, with a very powerful statement.

no one has the right to forbid life, to murder liberty or tell a person whether he or she can blink or breathe.

i like the strength of the child for survival that you capture in this.
