I must break the habits. monologue

I must break the habits. monologue

A Poem by Latifa
"

I just can't carry on likethis anymore......................I need a breack through

"
am I oblivious ?
or they're just abstract
am I chained to be oblivious ?
or they're just abstract
........sigh!
but I feel them
I feel them wrapping around my senses
around my right brain
........ sigh!........ again thinking....

are they strand or stones?
sometimes I feel chained
sometime I feel buried
my proactive sense are jammed
...........enough .
I can't blink without thinking
am I oblivious or they're just abstract
are they really here or it's just
a bland excuse to be normal
and reject singularity

You have summed it up marvelously in those lines. A powerful psychological write. Thank you for sharing Latifa...:)...................

You are always welcome...:).........
it's almost like the poet questioning herself...am i just a normal person...or am i trying to be, but the abstract part of me, the strange part, the poet keeps trying to break through...and i am in some sense fighting that because i want to just be normal...

really like this poem a lot,

It’s only natural that we have evolved so as to have habits (automatic functions) because if we needed to think about everything that we must do from moment to moment to function, then we would not act quickly enough to survive as a species. It’s very important to differentiate between essential habits (automatic functions) and the ones that have nothing to do with our survival lest we get all gummed up by those nonessential ones., but this is very difficult to do since these habits exist at a subconscious level that may only be known through deep introspection. The act of not knowing what we do is a survival trait, an antidote for hesitation that may have bad side effects. We’re in a dilemma whereby those who hesitate are lost, but those who act in a blind impulsive way may court implosive collateral damage. We’re in a tug-o-way between caution and faith because too much of one or the other may be fatal. Sometimes our subconscious cures (habits) are worse than the disease of hesitation, but not always.

thank you for the review
I liked the subconscious setting in the lines...the questions and answers play back and forth in the lines...I was looking at the last line...did you incorporate the lines that way or not:

am I oblivious or they're just abstract

yet in the first stanza they're apart and stand on their on measure...and continue with the question type feel for the reader going into the 2nd stanza of this verse...seems you did so --- to keep the almost mirror image of this writing...
