Not any cup of tea

Not any cup of tea

A Poem by Latifa
"

I hope you like it

"

jarring noises of the fools

divert my eyes toward the skies

oh please, hand me the climbing ladders

I want to sip a cup of tea

with the stars

where silence is the violinist

and the flashing lights

are the graceful dancers

no past, no future, no present

break the clayey shackles

and listen to the hypnotic violinist

Always a pleasure
This is lovely. I agree completely with you when it comes to this desire of solitude and peace. Sipping tea with the stars and silence being the master violinist....Very beautiful imagery.

What an enchanting notion, and I love a poem with violins, especially if they're hypnotic...

Oh thanks, I was having an identity crisis, who better to be than Marilyn?
last two lines are killers...but yes that hypnotic violinist better than listening to all the fools in life...

your analogy makes me think of a mother, pouring her cup of tea and the retreating upstairs to her bedroom to get some peace from the chaos of the house, wish her children might be silent, graceful dancers.

very cool.

I do like it! Sipping a cup of tea with the stars possess an originality you can't find just anywhere. Moreover, the line catapults the reader into this fanciful tale.
