Hungry spirits

Hungry spirits

A Poem by Latifa
"

loneliness is a dread,to find the one is tough especially in a time full of masked faces.

"
Deserted hearts sought to be dovetailed
Deserted hearts sought to be overwhelmed
Deserted hearts are in fear to wane
Deserted hearts are in want to reign

The vain spirit is growing tender
The vain spirit is willing to surrender
The vain spirit is gleaming with desire
The vain spirit refuse to douse the fire

This is a curious mixture of hammer strokes. The forging of an artifact of words, as though beaten from two soft yet dissimilar metals... perhaps like copper or brass or gold or silver. When the form, the shape is nearing completion the artisan is called away but wraps a multicolored silken thread about it.. to remind them of what to do, where to resume when/if the spirit and heart chance to continue their making.

I like how you used the repetition. Gave strength and purpose to the words. I could feel the thoughts and the struggle in your words. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
