The despair labyrinth

The despair labyrinth

A Poem by Latifa
"

sometimes reaching the rock bottom is dangerous and could lead us to reckless decisions

"
Tumble upon my serene spirit
And cross to the wretched stroll
Held hostage in the confined towers of suspicions
Hemmed in the circles of loathing
Sanity drifted from my being
And the sullen savagery settled in my hours
With no cane of help I am crippled
Equipped with tools of ruin
And sealed with doom

This is a great poem, Latifa. The image of a labyrinth is such a fantastic one to conjure up when talking about despair, depression, insanity, and loneliness. In your comments you mentioned reaching rock bottom and reckless decisions. It makes me think that the subject matter of this piece might actually be addiction. The tools of ruin represent ruin only for the person who has given up on finding a way out of the labyrinth. If that person chooses to use them, they may indeed end up sealed and lost in there forever.

This was a wake up call from the abyss of doom and gloom that we reach the bottoms as humans and need help and faith to assist us in climbing back. It is a great learning experience and a great test of our mettle...You write splendidly...:)...........

I know too, that the intensity of despair can muddle your mind. Sometimes I think we need to follow those despairing roads for a bit in order to flesh out reality and start to heal.

With no cane of help I am crippled
Equipped with tools of ruin
And sealed with doom

These lines blew me away!
