hope

hope

A Poem by Latifa
"

hold on and the pain will end

"
Gliding alongside the shadows
Leering the kindly tempest of the heart
Blinded by the sullen feelings
Coaxing the sparkling lantern
To shed its luminous rays upon me
Lay me a road of roses through dusky forest
Pull me hard pull me softly
Don't rescue me so hastily
Through the grimy well toss me a rope
Rope which i shall hang on so tight
A rope of hope

There's always hope, no matter what. Vicktor Frankl said so and the man did three years in a Nazi concentration camp.

"Through the grimy well toss me a rope"
I like the conflicting images of purity and griminess. Beautifully penned :)

thank you wordman for taking the time and reading it
It seems we are always grasping for something and if we are lucky, we find it and hold on tight. Very nicely done.

The theme is touching and deserving. The work is well formed with nice adjective choices. I question if you meant "which" instead of "witch" and would be curious to know if I'm right. Nonetheless, it is a delightful read thoroughly enjoyed.

I like the simile of light and hope(?). I think that you are correct, hold on to what ever hope you have and try to get through hardships. (Assuming I am inferring correct)
