The Feel of Pages

The Feel of Pages

A Poem by Brianna Woodward

Sometimes I feel as if I belong in a novel and not reality.

The feel of pages between my fingers almost makes me believe

that the characters within are reaching out to me,

holding my hand as we travel head on through life.

Because people, people can let you down;

be somewhere else;

walk away.

But they, they will always be there, just a page flip away,

greeting me as themselves, never changing, immortalized.

They are my friends, my companions;

I learn from them and they ask nothing in return but an occasional visit.

I go with pleasure; bringing nothing,

taking everything back.

I think you use too much punctation marks.
All of it isn't really needed.
Other than that it's a wonderful write.
Awesome job!
