Winter

Winter

A Story by BreatheBrittany

The winter wind
biting and cold
fighting
tackling my bones

Burying the promise
repenting to the sky
I lean for your kiss
blossoming red, I am shy

The laughter in the air
I watch the moon
the stillness we still share
I know I'll leave here soon

This season is the hardest
the gray gets you down
it's comforting regardless
though ice clings to the ground

Dreaming as the snow falls
I only pretend
I long for your call
I long for the end

This is a lovely write and I have the exact same feelings toward winter, it is the hardest. I find it hard to write of nature and always admire these writes, you've done well here!
