I'm sorry I ran away

and left you there

left you astray

I broke your heart

your bones

I left you in the dust

I betrayed you

though it was what I needed to do

I'm still sorry

so, so sorry

I think about how I used to be

how I've changed from the person I once was

it sickens me to know I was the one to cause such pain

such damage

Still, I say sorry

though I know it'll never be okay

But that's okay

I'm okay with that

Because I know that with time, I will mend you

I know that with time, I will make you whole

I'm the only one with that power

I'm the only one who can make that possible

I will free you

I give you all I am

I give you all I ever will be

I give it all to you

I will bring you to life
