if i were a bird
i would fly so far away 
i would fly over mountains
i would fly all throughout the day

if i were a bird 
i would be free
there wouldn't be pain
and the meaning of love i would finally see

if i were a bird 
i would be okay
my problems would be gone
because i simply flew away

if i were a bird
i would go on a search
for a sweet little place 
that has a small white perch
