The Facade

The Facade

A Poem by Breanna Riddle

Every time she wakes up
She grabs a bucket of paint
She smears it on her face
to cover her pain

Every time you see that smile
Remember it's not real
And its hiding a defeated child
Who only wants to be loved

That smile she wears
It seems so unfair
That she hides her sadness
And therefore creates her own madness
