I remember loosing you like it were yesterday

The day i lost mother

I remember the pain

Of loosing you

As if the tears i shed

had left me dead

My love for you

Was as pure as white snow

But nothing i could say

Could have saved you that day

I remember crying

As i was lying in bed

Wishing you were beside me

Whispering sweet words near the side of my head

I remember seeing you there

With that blank desolate stare

Wondering if i really did cause

You that much despair

I remember holding your hand

As i stood next to that man

Wondering if you could see me

While you teary in that new mystical land.

A very powerful and moving piece. I see it as a love piece with many levels. It could have easily been written about a loss due to Alzheimer's.

The pain of loss from love, no matter the reason, has great pain and sorrow. You expressed it perfectly here.
