at least i know you're safe from the world

sure i miss you everyday

but i am very glad to say

at least the pain was taken away

i imagine still, if you were here

if you would still hold me dear

or what would've happened if i called after you in fear

sure you're gone 

but i have yet to move on

in hopes you will return at dawn

the pain i feel 

is so unreal

it has taken over a heart of steal

so sure i might be sad

but i am also glad

because you're safe

the way you passed away

left you without pain

and sure i lost you, but i know heaven needs you
