What is...

What is...

A Poem by Breanna Riddle

What is life?

The air we breath or the wind in the trees?

The rain that falls or the shrinking of walls?

No One knows for sure what life is, but they know it’s worth living.

What is hate?

The difference in race or the change in weight.

No one knows, but everyone is guilty of hating.

Why we judge or misunderstand?

It’s way beyond the eyes of man.

Yet we all hate and no one loves.

This thing called life.

It’s like a pair of gloves.

Everyone can lose it without trying.

One wrong thing can end a life, but no one seems to care.

Why they fight alone?

Well everyone knows.

The hate they face is a war all on its own.

If they are forced to fight hate alone.

Why would they trust others to fight a battle with them.

The ones who say they care are never there to make sure the battle goes fair.

That is why they ALL fight alone.

STOP the hate and fill them with love.

What is love?

The singing of the birds or the buzzing of the bees?

It’s neither, it’s the wind that sways the trees, and the air we breath to keep our lives
