Friend Proof

You'd rather drown yourself in the contents of a bottle

than realize you're hurting the ones you love the most.

fuzz your mind a little more,

and maybe you won't remember the days events

or the words of poison you spat at your loved one.

don't you see what you're doing to yourself?

you say the bottle is your only friend,

the only one that will listen.

you say that straight to my god damn face,

while you cry on my shoulder

as if i haven,t been there to listen to you 

for the past 2 years.

but bare the thought

that peoples sympathy will run short

when your memory is so fogged that

you don't even remember who you are.
