Memories

Memories

A Poem by breakthebrokenone
"

Another poem from a word given to me. The word was Memories.

"
Memories flicker behind
resting eyes
rolling like a roll of film
on a projector screen.

Memories flood through me
bringing both tears of joy and sadness
from things I shouldn't have said or done
and feelings that I want to relive
but I hold close to my heart.

Memories from my childhood
of my Dad laughing and smiling
images that bring warmth and sentiment
these memories live on through me.
