Family (Or Lack Of In My Case)

Family (Or Lack Of In My Case)

A Poem by breakthebrokenone

You block my number
You call me childish
Despite You being the one in the wrong.

You talk s**t behind my back
Like my Father said,
A leopard never changes his spots
and I was stupid for thinking that You could.

Life is easier without having family
And I should not be made to feel like dirt
that is trapped beneath feet
constantly compressed
so I will never be able to rise again.

You are of the same flesh and blood
and we were meant to stay united
but now it is time for me to be defined
and travel this road on my own.
