Softly (a masterpiece)

Softly (a masterpiece)

A Poem by breakthebrokenone

Softly
he whispers to me
"Do you not see
How such beauty can
lie in your eyes
even in these moments of sadness?"
I relinquish into skin
which tears like paper
and absorbs the words
that are thrown hastily
and clumsily at me
littering the canvas that I have become/

Softly
his kiss is delicately painted
like the brush work of Van Gogh
that is strewn across my canvassed body
left for the world to see
because I am his
favourite art work
a masterpiece.
