Drop the gameA Poem by breakthebrokenone
This voice echoes in the empty surrounds of my mind
They play a back and forth game of tennis Unsure of which team will win Or which team will destroy me first. So I drop the game And give in to temptation Which begs me to give the issues my Undivided attention All of my memories of being shattered bite at the flesh which has been torn by attempts at destruction. I beg myself to drop the game But my mind ceases to give in Old habits die young In a mind so decayed like mine. © 2018 breakthebrokenone |
