HE (a poem for Tracy)

Tracy is a very good friend of mine, more family than friend actually. She has asked me to write all the words God speaks over me and so I am dedicating this piece to her.

He tells me that I am loved
Even when I feel that I am alone.
He tells me that I am cared for
That there are more people worrying

Even when I feel alone.

He tells me I am daughter
That I am his to protect when the world is against me.
He tells me that his kingdom is mine
And it's waiting for me because I have faith

Even if I have only a toe submerged.

He tells me I am beautiful
Because I am made in his perfect image
He reassures me of His plan
Even when I am anxious of the future.

Even when I am scared of the storm.


He holds me in his hand
And comforts me with his rod and staff.
He makes me feel safe
and casts away my doubts.
