And said you didn't need me

On the one love you knew

Because I'm not
As pretty as the others
But I have the words
To write you
Love letters
And poems
That you will never read.

It's amazing how hard it can be to move on from those who left or rejected us. At times we even scrutinize ourselves looking for ways we were responsible, making us feel as though we aren't enough.

Though relationships may die out, your words will live on. They are much more than just a modest offering for something you lack, but a gift that is innately and beautifully you. Writing will help carry you through when you feel as though you can't go on. I enjoyed the poem, and feel it is something most, including myself, can relate to.
