go back to writing s**t

I had a message yesterday from someone telling me to go back and write some more s****y poetry. so I thought instead of letting one persons opinion discourage me, I will use it to make me rise.

"'Go back and write 

some more 

s**t"

They said

trying to discourage me.

Trying 

to make me feel 

useless

Trying

to make me BELIEVE

that my gift

was not powerful 

or encouraging

or a strength

or a voice of reason

and clarity.

"Your words

have no effect"

They screamed

trying to make me 

tremble

and cower at their 

obscenities

Trying

trying

trying

trying

but failing

My words have power. 

And I am a voice

But they are so 

      i n t i m i d a t e d

that they  TRY 

and shoot

their ammunition 

of words

 and launch their 

grenades of lies

But they will not 

break me

and my writing

which is 

s**t
