Dreams of yesterday (a purple sky)

Dreams of yesterday (a purple sky)

A Poem by breakthebrokenone

I stand under a sky filled with beauty and grace
A sky full of birds and waves of wind
Crashing around me and filling me.

A sky that holds the dreams of yesterday
The dreams we yearn to remember
But when we wake they escape us.

I stand under a sky which is dusky and purple
And in this twilight I feel enamoured
Like the sky is within me and nothing can touch me.

I stand with my feet planted on the ground
The rich grass swallows me whole
And when I start drowning I accept the fate

And I am not afraid
Under the purple sky
Where the dreams of yesterday reside.
