Darkness

Darkness

A Poem by breakthebrokenone
"

Hey everyone. A new piece which has been in the creating for a while.

"
My world is darkness when your candle isn't lit.
I try to ignite
But the air of your absence sails through my curtains
And blows the tiny flame out.

My life is darkness without your radiant glow.
The embers of the fire dull
And suddenly snuff out
Like the light in your eyes as you turn to leave.

My dreams are darkness when my bed is empty
But made on your side.
Violent and blood stained and curdled
Muddied and dirty because you aren't with me to keep me safe.

My journeys are darkness and the tunnel has no light.
Never ending sadness and despair.
A feeling of isolation
And darkness.

This really shows a true sadness and emptiness when your light is not there, along with the heat which accompanies. "Violent and blood stained and curdled" brings a foreboding passion well beyond the darkness. ((Please review one of my writes. Thanks.))
