Woman Pt II

Woman Pt II

A Poem by breakthebrokenone

When did a woman need a man to validate her?
To make her feel worthy, needed or wanted.
When did a woman need a man to define her?
To give her a name and to make use of it.
When did a woman need a man to build her an empire?
To silence her and make her reliant on him?
When did a woman need a man to create her?
To put his name on the publication and take credit of her work.

Woman too can build an empire
and understand the worth that she holds.

It seems as though men have crossed a line they shouldn't. But how naïve can one be to believe that one is superior to the other. Perhaps Women don't need men, nor men need woman, but every page needs a good story, and not many pens know how to forge one on its own. Perhaps one ink runs through them all, Nor Man Nor Woman, but one, Love

I believe we need love. Love isn't validation. Real love is a safe place and where two people find similar paths. Not ownership. I liked your thoughts on a open topic. Once I wanted no love. I was lucky a woman found me worthwhile and today love is always near. Powerful words and thoughts made the reader think and ponder. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
