Why

Why

A Poem by breakthebrokenone

Why do we do this?
Fight and make up
 we go back and forth
and everything becomes blurred.
I try to talk and let you know
how I am feeling and that I'm unsure
But every time I talk to you it feels like another good bye.

You blame all of this s**t on me
and act like you do nothing wrong
I know that I'm not perfect
But I can't always be at fault.

I want to make up
and give you all my love
but my heart is bound to break
as you tighten the notch

Why do we do this?
Put our love in turmoil.
We used to be okay
and now our love has gone to waste

I meant every word that I said
Even when I said I hated you
But that was only for the moment
I love you and that's the only thing that I can do

I just want to dream
dream about loving you
But my once happy dreams
A tinged with shades of blue.

Why do we do this?
Hold on to wasted love
We are toxic and lethal
and I can't keep holding on
When I don't think that I'm in love with you.

The questions of life and love. A twisted tale for the writer. Wanted love and wanting free road. I liked the thoughts that are answers by living and learning. Real lover stay in the good or bad days. They know to hold on tighter. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
