This Is Your Beauty

A poem written in love

Sometimes you need to take

a step backwards before you

move forward again.

Let your body rest,

And your mind heal.

                      Let the wounds heal,

And time pass. 

Because you love deep and fast.

With your whole being, or not one bit.

You will give people all of your light, 

And in turn struggle to understand when they don't pay that back.

You want them to think that you can't be hurt, 

But the truth is, you get hurt easier than most.

You are fierceness and tenderness

                  Within the same breath.

This is your beauty

In your total lack of in betweens
