But There Was Nothing There

But There Was Nothing There

A Poem by breakthebrokenone
"

this was written on the ninth of september last year. with a lot of my work you will see that it is a bit depressing but it is how i best describe my work.

"
We were doomed from the very beginning.
I poured out all that I could for your empty glass
And when that wasn't enough for you
I was discarded like yesterdays songs.

I never noticed what I should have said
I never understood what more I could have done
I tried to fill your needs before mine
While you were getting it filled by others.

While I settled down
You roamed around
Placing a smile on anyone who walked around
Leaving me in the past along the way.

I tried latching on...
But there was nothing there.
