A Poem by Brenda Woods
"

500 prompt challenge - #4

"
i'll hide my secrets away
disguised in puffy, pink lace
and i'll wear a painted smile
you'll never know what goes on inside

perfect as pictures
but these pictures aren't perfect
you say i'm worth love
but you don't deserve this
i'm cracked, repainted
filled in at the edges
you can't love what you don't know

doll houses are built on lies
and you'll never see past my disguise
