Autumnal Dreaming

Autumnal Dreaming

A Poem by Brenda Woods
"

when the weather turns cold / and you wish of better seasons

"
there's something about autumn--
the crunch of leaves beneath bare feet
pink cheeks in crisp morning air
the crackle of pinecones in a bonfire

we can lay, watch the leaves fall
wrap ourselves in soft woollen shawls
my fingers laced with yours
we'll huddle close for warmth

let's be free, take each moment
before the rain sets in and the snow falls
and we change, like the seasons
to firesides, tea, and autumnal dreaming

This sums up everything great about Autumn for me too, one of my favourite times of year. Very beautiful poem.
