Not a Happy Ending

Song about a fairy tale gone wrong.

She's just a princess, longing for a prince
He's not a hero, doesn't know where to go
He's never found the letters she's been sending
Oh, this fairy tale doesn't have a happy ending

She's lost in her own imaginary world
Head stuck in the clouds
All alone and just a little frightened
Too high to touch the ground
And she screams 'save me'
As she falls to her knees
Crying alone waiting for her saviour
Hoping he won't be too late to rescue her

He's right beside her, but still he won't find her
He doesn't look to the sky, she's up so high
But her little reality, beneath her it's bending
Oh, this fairy tale doesn't have a happy ending
