Let Me Lie Here <3.

Let Me Lie Here <3.

A Poem by Brandon Stewart
"

Because I can never tell you I love you.

"

You play the fisher, and i'll play the wrong line.
Reel me in as if I were a gleaming refletion of the moon.
I'll kiss you. but I wont expect one back.
Then I'll fade with rise of the sun.

A relic of what you may miss;
a memoryy of what you dont want yet.
No litany of "love" can describe you.

You; the torment of 1,000 poets who could never describe your beauty.

I'm lost, but alas let me live in this illusion.
this forest has a tree of knowledge
yet no apples doth grow above ground
I never want to wake. So let me lie here.

With my dreams I weave the threads of your love
With, or without your arms, I'm warm.

The analogies in this poem are good, and though it's short, I feel like you've said what you needed to. My favorite line by far has to be this one:

"You; the torment of 1,000 poets who could never describe your beauty."

The only thing here is that you didn't capitalize a couple of words, and missed some apostrophes. But other than that, wonderful! I really did love that one line very much… Added to my library.

Mysterious and full of great rhythm and rhyme. The undertones of a possible crush or magnetic attraction to someone who keeps your dreams warm? I loved the weaving and flare of confidence hidden within the lines:

Then I'll fade with rise of the sun.
A relic of what you may miss;
a memoryy of what you dont want yet.
No litany of "love" can describe you.

Great outpouring and story of your illusion/dream of another.

I really am a poetry fanatic, but I also am someone who enjoys the short story. I don't like when stories trail on about setting for paragraph after paragraph, I feel it is truly just an excuse to fil.. more..
