The SearchingA Poem by Brandon Oliver Losier
In the twilight,
The moon shines forth, bringing light upon the scape, Inky wings stretch wide, letting no more light escape. The eye of night comes down, the darkness' bane a crescent of wax the has just started to wane. In the dead of dusk, when the air is filled with musk, I shall awake with thee, and swear on the power that be; That all i have, I'll spend it on thee, for thy company wrought no harm to me. So all I'll do for a filled heart, I'll do for thee so we never part. So as I walk, I'll find a stranger who be no stranger than I as life's granger. who shall be the reflection of my soul that you are, and learn from she who is you to become myself following your lodestar. as I give you myself, I hope I find new pieces of thee to fall for, as our hearts open up, letting the blast of fire through the door. And it burns away our uncertainties as we meld together, embracing souls, and we fill each other up, taking care of unwanted scars and holes. we may mend each other, and find new hope in the present. And in the past, we forgive and love anew on the moon's crescent. and as we start looking forward to the future, we begin the dawn with a new suture.
