Shreds of Comfort

Shreds of Comfort

A Poem by Brandee D. Hack
"

my experience, just recently....15.3.10....

"
I left him today and hooped things would change
but things will never be the same.

I cried as I walked down the broken, cracked streets.
I wonder if my choice deserves her treats.

My friend came to comfort me but all I did was cry
for my heart is forever broken...God help me die!

I never thought it would come to this until he did me wrong.
He stuck his hand upon my face and I left, feeling so wrong.

I never thought he would hurt me, that his anger was just a mask.
But now I know the awful things are not just from his past.

But now I'm left all alone, not even she can see what he's done.
I have blood everywhere...and I don't know how to begin to bare [it].

Hmm I think this is grand I wonder it must be from life.Do men hit women in Ireland or the continent? Here that would be the height of ignorance.Men don't strike women
