A Poem by Brandee D. Hack
"

A Special Man

"
"You're the voice inside my head.
The reason that I'm singing.
I need to find you,
I gotta find you."

Those were what everyone wants.
A peace inside a torn home.

I wanted to be that grand piano.
The melody you could wake up inside.

I wanted to show the world about us
but everything was so terribly fast.

I'm scared and I don't know what to do.
The floor shatters beneath me,
and what do I do?
I am a wreak that clings.

I need a mountain that doesn't move,
a strong hand to raise me up.
You did that for me and so much more.
You gave me a bird's wisdom and flight.

Your strong hands made me rest peacefully.
I don't want to be a sinking ship,
but I am in every aspect.
I should just be someone different.
                            Would it help?

I want to show you my heart,
mead yours torn apart.
But I want to say yes,
but I cannot jest,
You mean so much to me.

I know what we talked about,
late nights in the bed.
Talking about our true hearts,
and everything that we feel.

I wish I could say one thing
that would fix this awful mess.
But all I can do is wish to speak
to the eagle I once knew.

Everything is meant for a reason,
don't you believe that?

There is a reason for everything that we do.
All we have to do is find our places.

Talking seems to help.
We've formed connections.
What should I say?
You must be angry.

I want to change things,
but the past is like a rock.

I want to understand,
but this is all to complex.
What I am I to do?

I am to say nothing more?
I'll be a silent mouse.
Apparently two broken oceans...
are we making the "American Channel"?

God, Tell me what to do.
A path so down and low.
Wings I need to carry me up,
In this cavern, I take this trump.

My cards are played.
Out and laid.
Now show me your queen
or I will never sing.

There's nothing to do...
but sit in this room.
With thinking of you.
Then flying to the moon.

Answer my call and I pray thee I'll listen.
Tell me everything, and the dagger will die with only Juliet.

Romeo can have a word of peace.
Where Juliet lies in the tomb,
cold by here lover.
...star-crossed lovers fates?

You did a nice job of expression with this poem.
I feel the emotion that is weaved all through it.
Well done!

A powerful and beautiful story. So many powerful lines in your poem. I had to read the poem a second time to catch it all. Started with hope and love. Left me with sadness. A outstanding poem and story.

wow, this is a wonderful poem. It seems as though you are fighting with your feelings. This poem shows passion and in the same manner puzzlement. Heart breaks cannot be avoided. It is a part of life. Be strong and go on. Thanks for sharing!!
