La Pecher a la Mer

abab cdcd efef gg....fisherman sitting in a boat...falling in love with a mermaid....10 syllables.... NOT COMPLETE.

I sat upon the little wooden boat.

I have sailed so far I couldn't see the shore,

as the fish bite my mind is set afloat.

She swims and in my mind I feel allure.

Then in my heart I pray and wait for you,

like gentle winds that leave me wanting more.

The water so caressing and so true.
