Am I a Monster?

A drift of the unknown lying within the streets...

How tired I am,

all this stress.

I keep drinking coffee...

Will I ever rest?

Dreams keep me doing,

during the day that is.

Only one drink sustains me,

Blood -- Oh what horror!

I am in myth,

told to walk the night --

to sleep in coffins --

to be dust in the sun.

But, nay am I these things.

Only a creature I be.

One that walks when they please,

pleasured by writing.

My heart wishes for another,

for a lover I haven't met.

I only hope to find someone.

A love to make my soul complete.

I look around for a dying loving soul...

for I do not turn unless I have to.

Am I a monster?

Will you help me?
