Dust at a GlanceA Poem by Brandee D. HackThe halls glisten by and the trees whisper, I wait to be with you and nearer -- clearer. You're so far away, to far it seems, When will I see your face gleam?
You travel all around, Not a care that I have found. Your spirit shines, like the morning dew's rhymes.
The trees dance for you, A melodic trance for you. Do you dare stare? What have you to care?
You trolly around -- like Fae, hitting pubs on your way. Will you take time to look? I am your open book.
Look for me hear, I always see you near. But glance at the side, I run by and by.
Have you taken time to see, what you really mean to me. Am I just another tree, or may I feel you -- to be -- as free? © 2009 Brandee D. HackAuthor's Note
