on the rocks

on the rocks

A Poem by Adam :P
"

urgeh!! how im filling about writing right now, I can still not get anywhere, writers block is killing me :(, everytime i start something or get an idea it turns into nothing or jibberish.............

"
I haven't been her for a while
I been trying to figure myself out.
It's still on the rocks.
It's still long gone.
Taking pictures of the mirror
To see my face much clearer
It's still on the rocks.
It's still long gone.
I haven't been here for a while
I been trying to figure myself out
It's still on the rocks
It's still long gone.

Been ripped trying to quit, misunderstood the runaway split. waiting for the fire to be lit,
Heard the phone click, Should have never answered it, The knive was never used to slit...little pieces and bits....Little pieces and bits....

         It's still on the rocks.

It's still on the rocks..

It's still on the rocks...

I feel ya, Adam. Join the club. Good thing for writer's block, though are prompts. Try a few. You can find them at several writing websites. Robert Brewer at Writer's Digest usually has one every Tuesday. Then, I have a book of prompts for each day of the year. It's cool because every year I start over and each time I get something different with the SAME prompts. Some have led to poems, others stories... There are also those times when we are just trying too hard. We're forcing our fingers to bleed when there is no blood left. Trust me, I know. Too see other writers and get a sometimes humorous take on the writing life, check out my new blog at wordpress: http://whatevertheyaint.wordpress.com

Best wishes on slashing that block. It will come in time:-)
