Stockholm syndrome

Stockholm syndrome

A Poem by Bramble Blossom
"

.

"

He stumbled upon me.

It was in the place that you left me.

Right next to the last place,

            and the place before that.

He picked me up.

You didn’t do that.

He wiped off my knees.

You cut my skin,

            and bled me.

So here I am with him.

In the last place you left me.

I’m waiting for you to come get me

Take me from the hero’s lie

            the one called happiness.

Take me back to beatings.

To the slaps,

and the reasons you are horrible love.

To times when dessert tasted like blood,

            and lose teeth.

To the place at the bottom of the steps,

            where I fell again.

That’s life right?

That’s where you f**k me the best.

            Where he stumbled on me.
